[Junior] AML Officer

Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for individual and corporate clients
  • Review and assess KYC documentation, source of funds / source of wealth
  • Conduct transaction monitoring, identify unusual or suspicious activities
  • Prepare and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR / SAR) when required
  • Handle name screening and sanctions screening alerts (PEP, UN, OFAC, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with HKMA / SFC / AMLO regulatory and internal policy requirements
  • Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries, audits, and inspections
  • Support periodic KYC refresh and ongoing monitoring activities
  • Maintain proper documentation and records in accordance with AML standards
  • Participate in AML projects, system enhancements, and ad‑hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Law, or related disciplines
  • 1–5 years of relevant AML / CDD / compliance experience
    (Fresh graduates with internship or AML exposure may be considered for junior roles)
  • Good understanding of AML / CTF regulations in Hong Kong
  • Familiar with CDD, EDD, PEP screening, sanctions screening
  • Experience in banking / securities / virtual assets / financial institutions is an advantage
  • Detail‑minded, analytical, and able to work under tight timelines
  • Good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)
